Just Like That

I basically had nothing to do in the evening, so sat down with a pen and paper (I mean the virtual ones, a dashboard to 'virtually' scribble on, and my fingers assisted of course by the keyboard, to scribble with, again 'virtually' :-P). Dunno if I'm over doing this. Actually this is the first time I'm actually blogging for the sake of it. I love the idea of writing, though my limit of creativity restricts me from doing the same.

I had been planning this thing for a while now but never got motivated enough to finally make it happen. You must be wondering what titan of a task am I talking about, are you not?! Well like I said, I had been planning this thing for quite sometime now. A lot many things have been happening in my life lately - in the year 2010 to be more specific. And since all of it is not so obviously apparent, I decided to exaggerate it all. Now 'exaggerate' might again sound exaggerated in itself. Its just that, what I feel I wanted the world to know.

The story starts sometime around midday on the 12th of Jan, 2010, at our college campus. For those who are not from my college, you might want to know what it is like (just in case). Its a compact area, situated in the suburbs of Hooghly. It might not be a "love at first sight" scenario. However, I fell in love with the place and its people, with the passing time. The front gate is pretty catchy, and once you get through it, you will find a very well kept and even better decorated garden of the sorts. Winter is the time I'd suggest you to get a look at it. The warm and bright sun (not the scorching summer one), along with the brilliantly coloured flowers, are just at their best. The first glance gives you an illusion of having reached some picnic spot, where some serious teachers have mistakenly started giving lessons to some unwilling students!

Coming back to the present setting of the story, this day was supposed to be our first on-campus recruitment drive (so now you know I'm in the final year of college). Some supposed Vexsys Systems was in for recruitment (sounds more like a bidding process doesn't it?). We were however very excited, as, of course, it was our first campus placement. We had photo shoots of people beaming with enthusiasm. This group of enthusiasts, however, queried more than the recruiters could take, and, as you might already have guessed, the drive was a total naught :-/

Lots of opportunities have come since. Every time the whole bunch would go forward with high expectations. Some had their wishes fulfilled, some had yet to wait. Slowly and gradually time passed. These last few months left an indelible impression in all our hearts. We had vowed to prove such people wrong, that had led us to believe that we were a batch destined to be tagged "the-good-for-nothing" kind. And as filmy as it might sound, we have come a long way in achieving our sought after dreams...

How you apply the laws and principles determines the results, good or bad. Good and bad results come from different applications of the same law. So if you want different results, you must change. There are no exceptions in spiritual law. Believing is not optional if you want to achieve your dreams.
